Privacy Policy for SipLog

This Privacy Policy explains how SipLog ("we", "our", or "us") handles user information when you install and use the SipLog mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

SipLog is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. We collect only the minimum data necessary for hydration tracking and personal goal monitoring:

• Hydration Entries: Fluid volumes logged (e.g. 250ml) and corresponding entry timestamps.
• Personal Settings & Targets: Your customized daily hydration target (e.g. 2000ml) and preferred glass/container sizes.
• App Preferences: Preferred reminder frequencies, sound/vibration choices, and color theme (Light / Dark).

Note: SipLog does not require user registration, login accounts, names, phone numbers, email addresses, or location data.

2. Storage and Data Control (100% Local)

All your hydration logs, historical data, and application settings are stored exclusively on your physical device using local device storage (AsyncStorage). We do not host cloud databases for user data, and your logs are never transmitted to external servers.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

SipLog requests only minimal permissions required for core utility features:

• Notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`): Used solely to trigger scheduled on-device reminders when it is time to drink water. No remote push server is involved.
• Vibration (`VIBRATE`): Used to provide gentle haptic feedback and alarm alerts when reminder timers expire.
• Exact Alarms (`SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM` / `USE_EXACT_ALARM`): Used to deliver timely hydration reminders at user-defined intervals even in background/standby mode.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, ad networks, tracking cookies, or commercial telemetry tools. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information with any third party.

5. Data Retention, Export & Erasure

You have full ownership and authority over your data:

• Data Export: You can export your full logging history into an open CSV format at any time via Settings > Export Data (CSV).
• Data Deletion: You can permanently wipe all logs and custom settings at any time via Settings > Danger Zone > Reset All Data, or by clearing the app data / uninstalling the app from your device.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

SipLog is a general utility app that does not collect any personal identifiable information (PII) from any user, including children under 13 years of age.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update our Privacy Policy. Any updates will be reflected directly on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp.
